Lewin, Attorney at Law Prior to beginning my practice, I was a law professor and consulted extensively with governments and private companies. While I have an intense intellectual interest in the law and find joy in teaching, I focus my practice on solving problems for my clients. I advise clients in matters involving elder law, estate planning, wills and trusts, residential and commercial real estate, and taxation. I take an intense personal interest in my clients' problems, their families, and their hopes for the future. My philosophy of law is that it is not an end in itself, but a tool to use to protect a person's rights and interests, and to help them achieve their financial and personal objectives. My problem-solving approach to the law leads me to use a range of techniques to achieve the client's aims. Frequently, I utilize negotiation and mediation to achieve cost-effective results in a dispute. When the situation demands it, I vigorously pursue litigation to protect my client's interests. Much of my work involves legal advice designed to avoid potential conflicts and the prospect of litigation. I am an adjunct professor at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, and have published extensively in topics ranging from the ethics of medical professionals to the legal aspects of coalbed methane recovery. At my office, clients find a lawyer with an inquiring mind, a keen interest in their problems and concerns, and the ability to recommend legal solutions which are both creative and cost-effective. To schedule a consultation, call 610-565-4191, or contact me online. I schedule evening and weekend consultations by appointment, at your location if necessary. My office is conveniently located in downtown Media, with free off street parking. Jeff L.
